NBA Drops Hammer on Steve Ballmer, Clippers, Fernando Mendoza Won't Start for Raiders, New NFL Drama

On today's episode of The Drake Toll Show , Drake reacts to one of the most unprecedented enforcement actions in sports history as the NBA slams the LA Clippers with historic sanctions. Following a yearlong investigation into salary cap circumvention involving Kawhi Leonard, the league stripped the franchise of five consecutive first-round draft picks, handed down a $30 million fine, and issued suspensions to owner Steve Ballmer, business president Gillian Zucker, and basketball executive Lawrence Frank. The show dives into NFL news, breaking down Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak naming veteran Kirk Cousins as the Week 1 starter over No. 1 overall draft pick Fernando Mendoza. Rounding out the broadcast, the show hits "Biggest Losers of the Day"—featuring Tiger Woods, the Jets, and SEC-LSU drama—before previewing the Rams and 49ers traveling to Australia for their international opener. Guests J.D. Pickell, Peter Bukowski, and Chris Gordy join to break down the action. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
