Graeme Roustan, Hockey Mogul

The Hockey News Publisher & Hockey Stick/Equipment Mogul Graeme Roustan does NOT talk about his possible interest in purchasing the Ottawa Senators, but DOES talk about living in Los Angeles with roommates Pat Brisson [now CAA’s Super Agent] & Lucky Luc Robitaille [greatest left winger & best 171st draft pick in NHL history], being an oh-so-close finalist in the competition to purchase his hometown Montreal Canadiens, how close his group actually came to getting an arena built in Markham [to welcome a 2nd GTA NHL team], purchasing Bauer from Phil Knight’s Nike for $200MM and taking it public, getting personally congratulated on the Bauer purchase by then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper, purchasing an about-to-be shuttered The Hockey News [born 1947] and making it once again relevant as Hockey’s Bible, creating massive partnerships with Sports Illustrated and BetMGM, keeping hockey’s oldest business alive at 175 years [and counting] by moving Canada’s last remaining stick manufacturing plant to Brantford, achieving vertical integration by manufacturing in Canada + advertising in The Hockey News + selling direct to consumers via the website, and the #1 reason why anyone actually cancels their subscription to The Hockey News!
