Scherzer Demands Blue Jays Win Their Way | Toronto Blue Jays News

Max Scherzer delivered a no-nonsense wake-up call after the Blue Jays’ 7-4 loss to the Orioles, slamming home the message: this team can’t afford to wait for the playoffs — they’ve got to win their way in. With the season slipping away and Toronto now trailing Cleveland in the Wild Card race, Scherzer’s rough outing — six earned runs in five innings — only underscored the urgency. The Orioles jumped out to a brutal five-run second inning, staking their claim early and leaving Toronto scrambling. Even though Scherzer held them scoreless the rest of the way, the damage was done. With just a few games left, the Jays need to turn it around fast — or risk missing the postseason entirely.
