Canadians Clinch Title in Thriller | Toronto Blue Jays News

The Vancouver Canadians roar back from a four-run deficit to clinch their first Northwest League title since 2023, winning a heart-stopping 9-8 thriller in 12 innings. David Calabrese’s game-tying homer in the 9th and Ryan Sprock’s go-ahead hit in the 12th sealed the deal after a dramatic, three-game sweep of the Eugene Emeralds. JoJo Parker, the Blue Jays’ top prospect, delivered clutch performances, including scoring the winning run. Dasan Hill stepped up on the mound in the playoffs, pitching key innings including Game 1 of the championship series. Calabrese, signed in August, exploded with a .500+ batting average and became a postseason sensation — his walk-off blast in the finale? Pure magic.
