Blue Jays Shift Opening Day, Pursue Top Free Agents

The Toronto Blue Jays have rescheduled their 2026 Opening Day to March 27th, facing the Athletics at 7 PM ET. This change allows for a night game, potentially attracting more fans. The team has signed Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce, and is pursuing Kyle Tucker, Bo Bichette, and Edwin Diaz. With the winter meetings and Rule Five Draft approaching, the Blue Jays are expected to be active, possibly leading to roster shuffles. DNN | The Daily News Now!
