Toronto Blue Jays make a bold move, designating veteran outfielder Jesús Sánchez for assignment just before a crucial three-game series against the Orioles — signaling their all-in push for a playoff spot. Sánchez, acquired from Houston in February and a steady contributor with 8 homers and 35 RBIs in 99 games, now makes way for Rudy Martin Jr. on the active roster. With the Jays sitting one game behind the Wild Card lead and riding a six-win streak, this roster shakeup underscores their urgency to fine-tune their lineup as the season’s pressure intensifies.
