Ancient Aliens' Craziest Theory: Mermaids Were Real, and They Weren't Human

What if mermaids weren’t just sailors' fantasies, but genetic memories of our first alien encounter? 🧜‍♀️ We’re diving headfirst into the deep end, reacting to the History Channel's most mind-bending Ancient Aliens: Origins episode yet—the one that claims humanity's oldest myths are proof of extraterrestrial life from beneath the waves.

Join us as we explore the chilling legend of the Japanese Kappa, the turtle-shelled creature whose alleged remains went on display. Was it a monster, or a stranded visitor from another world? We connect the dots from its amphibious nature straight to the core of the Ancient Astronaut Theory.

Then, we journey back to the very first mermaid, the Syrian goddess Atargatis, and unpack why so many ancient cultures believed that gods descended from the sky and then took to the water. Finally, we tackle the big one: the Dogon people of West Africa and their worship of the Nommo—amphibious, fish-like beings they claim came from the stars in a vessel to teach them civilization.

In this episode, we break down:

• The shocking evidence of the Kappa and why it terrifies locals.
• The "alien" connection between mermaids and sky-beings in Greek mythology.
• The Dogon's star map and their detailed accounts of the Nommo's arrival.

Is it all myth, or are we ignoring a chapter of Forbidden History that's been staring us in the face? You'll never look at a mermaid story the same way again.
