Esau, Ancient Lineage, and the Origins of “Biblical Bigfoot” | Justin “Doc” Brown

Was Esau simply a misunderstood biblical figure — or does ancient Scripture, Jewish tradition, and extra-biblical literature hint at something far stranger?

In this episode of The Ryan Files, Ryan Pelton is joined by researcher and author Justin “Doc” Brown for a deep-dive exploration into the enigmatic figure of Esau and a provocative idea sometimes described as “Biblical Bigfoot.” Drawing from Genesis, the Book of Jasher, the Midrash, and other ancient sources, this conversation examines lineage symbolism, descriptions of “wild men,” Nephilim traditions, and how ancient narratives may echo into modern folklore.

This is not a declaration of fact — it is an explanatory, research-driven discussion designed to challenge assumptions, encourage deeper study of Scripture, and explore how ancient texts were understood within their original cultural context.

Topics include:
• Esau’s unusual birth description in Genesis
• Ancient Jewish interpretations of lineage and symbolism
• Connections to “wild man” traditions in biblical and extra-biblical texts
• The role of genealogy, bloodlines, and ancient narratives
• Why these ideas persist in modern folklore and discussion

Listeners are encouraged to approach this episode with discernment, curiosity, and an open mind — and to study the source material for themselves.
