Medical appointments and collecting prescriptions can feel daunting, especially if you’re not confident in the language, but a few useful expressions and some cultural understanding can go a long way.In this friendly and practical session, Filomena, our Portuguese language and culture expert, will guide us through common phrases and routines you might encounter when visiting a health centre or pharmacy. While English is often spoken, particularly in private clinics, public services don’t always offer the same support. Making a small effort with the language can help avoid misunderstandings and show respect for the local system. This session is perfect for those just beginning their journey with Portuguese, as well as residents who want to feel more comfortable and confident in health-related settings. Attendees are encouraged to join live to make the most of the session, ask questions, and connect with others in the community. Premium members are welcome to submit questions in advance, but joining live is the best way to enjoy the session fully, take part in the conversation, and ask questions as they come up. Come ready to learn, share, and feel a little more at home in Portugal.
