I’ve learned this year that when my mind spirals, the best thing I can do is return to what I know is true. Matthew’s Gospel does just that, reaching back into the Old Testament to anchor us in the identity and mission of Jesus. When our hearts feel unsteady, Scripture has a way of steadying us with reminders of who God has always been.
