📰 1. Investigation into Former Special Counsel Jack Smith

• The U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) has reportedly opened an investigation into Jack Smith, the former special counsel who led criminal investigations into Donald Trump.
• The investigation centers on whether Smith violated the Hatch Act, which prohibits federal employees from engaging in political activities.
• Allegations include:
  • Rushing legal proceedings to influence the 2024 election.
  • Filing briefs close to the election date.
  • Using DOJ resources in a way that allegedly favored Kamala Harris and harmed Trump.
• The investigation is not criminal, but could result in fines or sanctions.
• The document suggests this could be the start of broader scrutiny into Smith’s actions and those of his team.

🚨 2. Border Security and Migrant Arrests in Texas

• The second half of the document shifts focus to border security, highlighting:
  • A significant drop in migrant apprehensions under the Trump administration compared to the Biden administration.
  • Specific arrests of migrants, including Chinese nationals and individuals from Uzbekistan, with concerns about terrorism.
  • Increased effectiveness of Texas DPS, Border Patrol, and K-9 units in tracking and apprehending illegal migrants.
  • Claims of record-low apprehension numbers in June and July 2025, attributed to stricter enforcement and deterrence.
  • Statements from Christy Noem emphasizing the success of Trump’s border policies.
