Your Shortcut to... Queen Camilla

In happy news for royal watchers, it’s been confirmed this week that King Charles and Queen Camilla are coming to Australia in October. We already know a lot about the King, but in this Squiz Shortcut, we’ll take a look at Queen Camilla’s life, how she won over the British public, and why her role in the monarchy is now more important than ever. Squiz recommends: Reading: The Town and Country article called The Vindication of Queen Camilla is a longer read but it gives a good overview of Charles’ and Camilla’s story. Listening: An episode of Profile from BBC Sounds called Camilla, Queen Consort. It was published just ahead of King Charles’ Coronation and features interviews with Camilla’s friends and royal reporters speaking about her upcoming role as Queen and what she brings to the royal family.
