Sydney-based filmmaker Tak Nakano grew up on the US, Bahrain and Japan as part of his family's expatriate life before moving to Australia when he was in Year 6. He has produced documentaries for the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games, Tourism Australia, and commercials for major companies. We spoke with him about his Japanese side of his identity, how it is reflected in his work, and the projects that became turning points in his career.
