925 Drug Cop Framed by Crooked Colleagues

EPISODE #925 FORMER DRUG COP FRAMED BY CROOKED COLLEAGUES Richard welcomes a highly decorated Broward Country Sheriff's Deputy who was framed for drug trafficking by his crooked colleagues on the drug squad. His book, I'm Still Standing, is the story of a man whose idea of duty put him in conflict with the powers that be, and how he endured the injustice of false charges and wrongful incarceration, turning bad providence into spiritual growth. GUEST: Raymond Hicks was a highly decorated Broward County Sheriff's deputy with 15 years of service. After witnessing and reporting corruption in his agency, he was falsely charged with trafficking 350 kilos of cocaine. He spent 16 1/2 months behind bars, waiting for his day in court. Raymond fought these fabricated charges before a jury of his peers who only had to deliberate for 30 minutes before acquitting him of all charges. The injustice perpetrated against Raymond and his family resulted in the loss of all his possessions, his home, his finances, and the career he loved.
