Why Did It Keep Happening in Fours? | Real Ghost Stories CLASSIC

A night in a famously haunted hotel began with a sound so loud it seemed to happen inside his ear. Then came a voice saying his name, unexplained taps against his pillow, and a strange distortion moving back and forth across the window.

A week later, the activity seemed to take on a pattern. He woke to four knocks on the wall beside his head while the smoke alarm began repeatedly sounding for no apparent reason. The batteries were new, there was no smoke, and nothing seemed wrong with the building.

Then, while explaining the strange number four to his mother, he demonstrated by knocking four times on the wall.

The alarm went off at the exact moment of the fourth knock. Coincidence—or was something actually responding?
