TRUMP STORMS GRAND ISLAND, RICKETTS FIGHTS OSBORN | WAR ROOM PM W STEVE BANNON | OCTOBER 5TH, 2026

Steve Bannon goes straight to Grand Island, Nebraska, where President Trump headlines a midterm rally at the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds. Real America's Voice correspondent David Zere is on the ground. Doors opened early afternoon, the program starts at 4:30 p.m. CT, and Trump is scheduled to speak around 6 p.m. CT.

Trump is campaigning with Sen. Pete Ricketts and Gov. Jim Pillen on day one of early in-person voting. Ricketts faces independent Dan Osborn, the former union leader who came within about seven points of Deb Fischer in 2024. Pillen faces Democrat Lynne Walz. Trump won Nebraska by more than 20 points in 2024, but public polling has the Senate race competitive. Grand Island sits in the deep-red 3rd District; the tighter fight is the open Omaha-area 2nd, the so-called blue dot, where Don Bacon is retiring.

This stop is part of a 32-day red-state sprint before November 3, after Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Ohio. Trump is selling the economic record and telling Republicans to treat the midterms like he is on the ballot. Ranchers are pushing back on a plan to expand foreign beef imports to cut grocery prices. Diesel and inflation are live issues for farmers and truckers in a cattle-and-corn state.

Question: Does a Grand Island rally lock down Ricketts, or is the real fight still the Omaha blue dot and the ranchers' revolt?
