Tundra FM: Bags by the Door, Lions Week
It's Friday night of Lions week, and the trash talk has gone quiet. The Packers are 4-2 with three straight wins, the bags are by the door, and Sunday's game at Ford Field is two days out. Brick Lombardi sets the mood with a calm that should worry Detroit. He also nods to the Brewers, who open the World Series in Milwaukee tonight. Tonight's songs start with Lamb in a Lion's Skin, a glitchy electro-swing roast with a yodel aimed at Jared Goff. Next is Standard Bearers, gritty gang-vocal rock about who really runs the North. Then comes Sweet Redemption, uplifting soul-sample hip-hop for everybody who wrote Green Bay off. The night closes with the debut of a brand-new Tundra FM original, We Pack Light. It's a swaggering bar-band road-trip song about a team packing for Detroit and not planning to stay long. Detroit is rested and good, and it will be loud.
