The Youth Outreach & Maritime Awareness event introduces youth to the maritime industry

Jeanne Ferrer, Port NOLA Board Commissioner & Crescent River Port Pilot, joins Newell to talk about her role in both guiding ships and shaping the port’s future, discuss the Youth Outreach & Maritime Awareness, "We Work the Waterways," an Invite-only interactive event next week for Orleans and Jefferson parish students to introduce youth to the maritime industry, with hands-on, engaging activities for students, and the “Open Waters Program: Swim Lessons for Access,” a partnership with New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD).
