UK Celebrates Multiple Christmases, Relying on Tech
This year, UK residents are celebrating multiple Christmas Days due to the challenge of keeping up with friends and family. A poll found that a third of those surveyed struggle with this, with some starting festivities in November. On average, people spend three hours and sixteen minutes traveling to visit loved ones, with one in five visiting three or more houses in a day. Despite the travel, sixty-eight percent rely on technology to stay connected. EE, in partnership with TV presenter Lorraine Kelly and her daughter Rosie Smith, emphasized the importance of reliable broadband and mobile connectivity for a modern, multi-stop Christmas. Fifty-three percent of those surveyed consider a good internet connection as crucial as a working oven for a seamless Christmas. DNN | The Daily News Now! The world’s first global local news network.
