The Hidden Science of Tarot | Marty Leeds & Mario Garza

Is the Tarot a system of sacred mathematics hidden in plain sight? Marty Leeds of Gnostic Academy and Mario Garza of Symbolic Studies join Chance Garton to explore the hidden architecture of the Tarot through Marty’s new book, The Keys to the Tarot.

Using septenary gematria, sacred geometry, numerology, astrotheology and symbolic analysis, they investigate the remarkable mathematical structure of the deck: 78 cards, 22 Major Arcana, 22/7 and π, the four elements, the Celtic Cross, base-ten mathematics and the recurring numerical patterns connecting Tarot to the human body.

The conversation then opens into an extended exploration of The Fool and The Magician, Mercury symbolism, Orion, the hero’s journey, spiritual incarnation and the Tarot as a pictorial map of human consciousness.
