Steelers places 2 players on IR ahead of Colts clash

The Pittsburgh Steelers face a significant challenge as they place safety Deshon Elliott and defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale on injured reserve, potentially losing Elliott for the season. Elliott's absence leaves a major void in a defense already struggling, while Ekuale's loss impacts depth on the defensive line. The team turns to new acquisition Kyle Dugger to fill Elliott's role, with high expectations for him to develop chemistry quickly. The Steelers' defense is under intense scrutiny, and coach Mike Tomlin must adapt his schemes to compensate for the losses, especially with the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts.
