Arielle Kebbel: Marshals, Playing Toxic Characters & Re-Discovering Herself

From I've Never Said This Before With Tommy DiDario iHeartPodcasts

This week, Tommy is joined by actor Arielle Kebbel, whose career spans some of television’s most beloved series including Gilmore Girls, The Vampire Diaries, and 90210. Arielle reflects on her past roles and shares memories from early projects that helped shape her career. She talks about learning from figures like Kenny Ortega, why she often gravitates toward playing characters audiences love to hate, and the challenge of making viewers care about a character in just a single episode of The Vampire Diaries. Arielle also revisits her time on 90210, revealing behind the scenes stories about stunt mishaps, paparazzi moments, and the friendships that came from the show.

The conversation then turns to her newest project Marshals (a spin-off from Yellowstone), where Arielle steps into a rugged Western world and brings a unique femininity to the genre. She discusses the intense preparation that went into the role, and teases the mystery surrounding her character Belle. Beyond acting, she reflects on entering a new chapter in her 40s, caring less about outside opinions, and stepping into producing with passion projects she hopes to bring to life, including a potential sequel to a beloved film. The episode closes with a fun “I’ve never said this before” moment, where Arielle shares an unexpected story.
