Day 26: Genesis 11:1-9: The Tower of Babel (2025)

Day 26: Genesis 11:1-9: The Tower of Babel (2025) When we try to build on our own terms instead of God’s, things tend to fall apart. In this episode, we unpack the story of the Tower of Babel—what it meant in the ancient world and why it still matters today. We’ll explore the power of naming in the Bible, the role of ziggurats as human attempts to reach God, and how misplaced ambition can lead us away from Him. But here’s the good news: God has always had a better way. Instead of striving to reach Him on our own, He invites us into covenant and relationship—a promise ultimately fulfilled in Jesus. This episode will challenge you to take a closer look at your own life and consider: Are you building something with God, or apart from Him? ☆ GET AD-FREE EPISODES OR THE JOURNALING WORKBOOK HERE ☆ : patreon.com/HearingJesus _______________________________________ Show Partnership Information: ☆To Give towards a Survival Program or Sponsor a Child ➤ Help Mothers and Children ☆Teach English and Earn Your Master’s Degree: ELIC.ORG/HEARINGJESUS _______________________________________ If you would like to give to Hearing Jesus and financially support the podcast, you can do so here ! ➤ Give Here ________________________________________ Connect further with us !
