School Fire in Bukavu Claims Dozens | Global News

A devastating fire in Bukavu, DRC, has killed at least 24 children and possibly adults, sparking a deadly stampede as students fled burning schools. The blaze also destroyed around 300 homes in a densely populated rebel-held area. Images show traumatized children in hospitals, while authorities investigate the cause. This tragedy follows a similar wedding stampede in Kinshasa last weekend, prompting the government to demand stricter safety measures for public gatherings.
