Russian Spies Accused of U.S. Terror Plot | Global News

The Justice Department just dropped explosive charges against five alleged Russian spies plotting to assassinate pro-Ukraine allies in the U.S. and Europe — including a former colonel, his son, and a Cuban national allegedly coordinating attacks. Two young recruits are accused of offering cash for surveillance and murder of a Russian dissident in America, with one even dangling $40K for the hit. This isn’t new — similar plots have surfaced before, including one targeting a Ukrainian-American in Poland. With tensions already high ahead of White House changes, this move signals a major escalation in the U.S.-Russia standoff — and the Kremlin’s silence only adds to the mystery.
