Practical Magic 2 Tops Box Office | Global News

Practical Magic 2 soars to 1 at the box office, raking in $30 million in its debut weekend and knocking Spider-Man: Brand New Day off its six-week streak. Starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, the long-awaited sequel—based on Alice Hoffman’s book and featuring Joey King and Maisie Williams as the next generation of witches—hits just above studio expectations with a $75 million budget. Critics praise the leads but note it lacks the quirky magic of the 1998 original. The box office mix signals strong audience interest in diverse stories, boding well for fall cinema.
