Arch Manning Apologizes to Holly Rowe | Global News

Arch Manning apologized to ESPN’s Holly Rowe after a viral, edited video falsely showed Texas coach Steve Sarkisian striking her—prompting widespread backlash. Manning acknowledged his need for greater thoughtfulness in public comments, and Rowe accepted his apology, saying they’ve since spoken. The A.W.S.M. backed Rowe, calling for an end to violence against women in sports media. The clip surfaced after Texas’s big win that bumped them to No. 1, as the team gears up for UTSA. While ESPN declined to comment, the incident underscores social media’s power and the accountability expected of public figures with major endorsements—and reinforces the need for respect across all levels of sports journalism.
