Ouray 100 Recap - Part 1: Training, Facing Fears, and Climbing Big Mountains at Altitude
I completed the Ouray 100 miler this past weekend, and it's known as one of the hardest 100 milers in the US.
With 42,000 feet of climbing (more than Hardrock), being at an average altitude of 10,000 feet the entire time, and inclement weather, this race is absolutely no joke.
It was one of the hardest races of my life, and in this episode, I recap the epic journey and lessons from the race.
In this part 1 series, I cover an overview of the course, how I trained for the race, and stories and lessons from my first 65 miles of the course.
Part 2 is coming real soon.
Thank you so much for listening to the show!
