From Durham News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now! The Daily News Now!

An 18-year-old Zaxby’s employee, Otis Johnson, faces murder charges after a deadly shooting inside the restaurant in Fuquay-Varina. Allegedly pulling a gun during a physical altercation with 19-year-old Quanterius Elliott, Johnson is now held without bond as prosecutors and defense clash over who started the fight — with the defense arguing Elliott came to confront him over a coworker issue and that Johnson was shot in the arm during the chaos. The weapon’s origin and total shots fired remain unclear, while the case heads back to court October 8th — and Zaxby’s says it’s cooperating fully.
