The National Toy Hall of Fame just unveiled its 2024 finalists — a wild mix of timeless classics and nostalgic favorites like Tickle Me Elmo, playground slides, Bingo, Care Bears, Yahtzee, Mahjong, and Pokémon cards. Also in the running: Bop It!, Monster High, Polly Pocket, Mouse Trap, and Sorry! — all contenders for iconic status. To make the cut, toys must have shaped generations, sparked creativity, or revolutionized play. The public votes September 16–23, with winners announced in November, joining legends like Hot Wheels and G.I. Joe. Some returning nominees hope this is their big break — it’s always a tough call when so many beloved toys are vying for that coveted spot.
