Kraft Bans Macklemore Over Gaza Stance | Durham News

Robert Kraft bans Macklemore from Gillette Stadium after the rapper performed a protest song calling Gaza a “genocide” without mentioning attacks on Israelis — sparking backlash and dropping from Ed Sheeran’s tour. Dave Portnoy fully backs Kraft, praising his stance against antisemitism and highlighting Macklemore’s past controversial costume. While Macklemore insists his message targets the Israeli government, not Jewish people, and pledges to donate $1M to Palestinian causes, Kraft responds by matching it with $2M — a move shepherded by Ed Sheeran himself. The fallout continues as other artists like Finneas drop out in solidarity, underscoring the tension between free speech and corporate responsibility at one of America’s most prominent stadiums.
