Elmo Has a Gambling Problem

Johnny Mac delivers comedy news, starting with Dave Chappelle speaking at the opening of the Obama Presidential Center, calling it “medicine” amid dark political times and joking that people miss scandals as small as Obama’s tan suit, noting multiple ex-presidents smiling together. He covers a US State Department–funded public-diplomacy series of untitled “Pratt shorts” pairing Chris Pratt with historian Doris Kearns Goodwin to teach constitutional values through short live-action/animation episodes. Mac laments the lack of excitement around the upcoming USA 250 compared with the 1976 bicentennial. He reports Ricky Gervais confirmed another Netflix special, and Carlos Mencia was charged with 12 felony tax counts for allegedly not filing returns and not reporting $8.7 million. He mentions Rob Schneider’s posts about paying players’ Pride Night fines, Ryan Hamilton’s Netflix special after being hit by a bus, and highlights Jon Stewart’s Elmo/Knicks segment plus Triumph at a Knicks parade.
