Rutgers Stumbles Against UMass | Boston College Football News

From Boston College Eagles Football Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now! The Daily News Now!

Rutgers’ season opener against UMass was a disaster from start to finish—offense sputtered, the line looked completely lost, and the defense couldn’t generate pressure or organize. With seven transfers and an inexperienced coaching staff, the team looked outmatched and confused. Quarterback Dylan Lonergan threw three picks, but AJ Surace showed promise with a touchdown drive and will start Friday. If Rutgers stumbles again, head coach Greg Schiano’s job could be on the line. This loss is a wake-up call—and Friday’s game will reveal if this is a fluke or a deeper crisis.
