Rutgers QB Change, BC’s Run Game Key | Boston College Football News

Rutgers shocks fans by benching QB Dylan Lonergan after a brutal opener, turning to junior AJ Surace for his first career start—while BC’s defense must now brace for KJ Duff’s explosive playmaking. With turnovers and a weak run game haunting Rutgers, BC sees their chance: dominate the trenches, control the clock, and keep Duff contained. If they do, they could pull off a statement win—and maybe even steal a page from last year’s playbook when they crushed UMass on the ground. For Rutgers, it’s about proving they can rally around Surace and give head coach Schiano his 100th victory. This Red Bandana showdown? Must-win for both.
