We Were Unsupervised, Uninsured, and Somehow Survived
Before smartphones, helicopter parents, and cameras catching every stupid decision, there was growing up in rural America. And apparently, survival was optional.
Bill reunites with brothers Kevin and Matt Walsh, his childhood babysitters and longtime family friends, for a hilarious, sometimes heartfelt trip back to Clinton Corners, New York.
We're talking stolen joyrides in old Studebakers, muscle cars, questionable babysitting techniques, parties that nearly burned down the house, and enough teenage stupidity to keep an insurance adjuster awake at night.
But beneath the laughs are some powerful reflections on childhood freedom, friendship, tragedy, community, and growing older. Were those really better times, or are we just lucky nobody had a camera?
Three guys, a lifetime of memories, and enough stories to make today's parents call Child Protective Services.
Welcome back to a time when the rules were flexible, the neighbors knew everything, and somehow we all made it home.
