Culture of Change Ep. 160: What is MAGA?
Ashe in America is joined by regular Wednesday cohost Burning Bright for part two of their "Weapons of the Enemy" conversation, picking up from a discussion that started the night before on "The Narrative." This round digs into what MAGA actually is at this point, whether it can be co opted, and why it has become nearly impossible for pollsters to measure. From there the two turn to political parties, PACs, and NGOs, tracing how much money and influence flows through the nonprofit and NGO world and whether some of these institutions have outlived their usefulness. Expect a candid, sometimes irreverent back and forth (the two have clearly worked together a while) that mixes big picture theory with sharp, specific examples. There is also a fair bit of banter about their shared podcast history and a video Ashe insists Burning Bright needs to see. A solid pick for anyone tracking how movements get built, co opted, and weaponized.
