We sometimes get so legalistic and so literal in our religion that we fail to ask if what we are doing is a blessing. The audience Jesus was addressing was intent on making sure everyone was following the rules. Jesus pointed out that the rules were not intended to enslave us. Nor were they intended to harm us in any way....
