About
Emerging from the 1990s in Yemen, a predominantly Zaydi-led movement gained prominence as a major player in the country's civil war. Characterized by widespread human rights abuses, including the targeting of civilians and the use of child soldiers, this group has faced international condemnation and is designated as a terrorist organization by some countries. Backed by Iran, its ties to the Iranian-led "Axis of Resistance" have solidified its position as a key force in regional politics.
