About
From: United Kingdom
In the gritty landscape of 1970s Manchester, a quartet of talented musicians came together to form a band that would leave an indelible mark on the music world. Led by the enigmatic and poetic voice of Ian Curtis, this iconic group consisted of guitarist and keyboardist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook, and drummer Stephen Morris, all united by a shared passion for creating dark, atmospheric soundscapes. Formed in Salford in 1976, this influential rock band would go on to shape the post-punk genre and inspire generations of musicians to come.
