About

From: Netherlands

Meet the mendicant monks known as friars, a group of devoted individuals who roam the world spreading their message of faith and charity. These spiritual leaders, found in various Christian denominations including the Catholic Church, Evangelical-Lutheran Churches, and Anglican Communion, are united by their itinerant apostolic character and vows of poverty and service. With prominent orders like the Dominicans, Franciscans, Augustinians, and Carmelites, friars have been a significant part of Christian history for centuries.
