About

From: United States

Hailing from the vibrant city of Akron, Ohio, this influential new wave band burst onto the scene in 1973, bringing together two sets of brothers - the Mothersbaughs and the Casales - along with the dynamic drumming of Alan Myers. Their signature sound and energetic live performances propelled them to mainstream success with the iconic 1980 single Whip It, which reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite decades of music, Devo remains a beloved and enduring force in the world of alternative rock.
