About
Born: December 5, 1946 in Montreal
As a teen heartthrob of the 1960s and 1970s, this Montreal-born Canadian pop rock singer and songwriter notched several chart-topping hits, including the iconic Baby, I Love You and Rock Me Gently, which reached number one on the U.S. singles chart in 1974. He also made a lasting impact as a co-writer and performer on the Archies' sugary sweet Sugar, Sugar, which dominated the airwaves for four weeks in the USA. With a career spanning multiple genres and decades, his legacy as a pop rock pioneer endures.
