France: clashes with police as school protests spread
There have been clashes between protesters and police in several French cities, as demonstrators call for more investment in schools. The student protests - over a lack of teachers, overcrowded classrooms and run-down buildings - started last month in Paris then spread. Hundreds of schools have been closed.
