30 Minutes of Silence

September 23, 1857, will forever go down in the pages of church history as the date that God began the great work of the noon day prayer revival in New York City under the instrumentation of a layman, Jeremiah Lanphier. This meditation was delivered on the anniversary of that day and considers the first 30 minutes of silence that preceded what would become the greatest prayer awakening the world has ever seen.
