Trump Touts Foreign Policy Vision in UN Speech Ahead of Midterms
P.M. Edition for Sept. 22. Speaking to a room of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly today, President Trump tallied his foreign policy wins while presenting the possibility of further military action in Iran and elsewhere. WSJ national security reporter Alex Ward discusses how the speech went over and the outcomes from some of Trump’s closed-door meetings. Plus, a Republican senator has called for an investigation into Donald Trump Jr. after the president’s oldest son disclosed that a Russian oligarch had paid for his wedding afterparty. And venture-capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, along with some of the other biggest names in tech, are backing a new school intended to be an alternative to college. We hear from Journal tech reporter Katie Bindley about what kind of curriculum the school will offer, what kinds of students it wants to attract and what skeptics are saying. Alex Ossola hosts.
