Todd recounts the gripping story of how the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod stood firm against a liberal takeover in the 1970s. Drawing parallels to the Southern Baptist Convention’s conservative resurgence, Todd explores the pivotal battle for Sola Scriptura within Concordia Seminary, where the faculty and students embraced a more liberal interpretation of Scripture.

With the historical-critical method threatening the inerrancy of the Bible, a clash ensued, leading to a theological split. Todd emphasizes the importance of upholding the authority of Scripture in today’s church and how this historical fight continues to hold vital lessons for believers today.
