E15 | Colors, Cultures, & Social Acceptance
A moment of self reflection and a breakdown of societal interactions as a bi-racial female in America. This episode displays how moments within my upbringing played a role in not only how I saw myself, but what I thought it looked like attempting to fit into a world who wanted me to pick sides. Now as an adult I think about some of the struggles that stemmed from straddling the line of cultures. I think about how I’m still growing into myself till this day. Most importantly, ensuring all my kids understand how they may be viewed in society and helping my daughters navigate self acceptance so they can love themselves just the way they are!
