Unknown Broadcast | The Tell-Tale Heart — Boris Karloff’s Nightmare of Heightened Hearing

Boris Karloff plays a musician whose restored hearing becomes unbearable in this unusual version of “The Tell-Tale Heart.” Simon’s treatment lets him hear far beyond ordinary limits, while another patient’s sight has been similarly transformed. Unknown Broadcast presents an Inner Sanctum adaptation inspired by Edgar Allan Poe, expanding the familiar story into experimental medicine, jealousy and sensory terror. When sound becomes impossible to escape, even silence offers little comfort. This radio nightmare gives a heartbeat the power to turn a private crime into an accusation.
