Twenty-Two Minutes: A Ghostly Lumberjack & a Countdown to Survival

A ghostly lumberjack is hunting Laura, and the 911 dispatcher says help is twenty-two minutes away. In Bruce Haney’s “Twenty-Two Minutes,” a proposal hike has already ended in bloodshed. Now Laura is hiding in a remote ranger station while an axe strikes the trees outside. Bear spray cannot stop an apparition, the trailer offers little protection, and every question costs time. This Pacific Northwest ghost story combines wilderness survival, grim humor and an emergency call that may outlast its caller. How do you hold off something you cannot hurt?
