This Week in Horror History | Rings, The Prodigy, The Messengers + In the Mouth of Madness (Feb 2–8)

From Weekly Spooky: Scary Christmas Stories | Terrifying Tales to Creep Your Holiday Henrique Couto | Scary Stories & Horror Expert

Rings carries a videotape curse into online media, and The Prodigy turns a child's behavior into a possession nightmare. This Week in Horror History explores February 2–8 through The Messengers, The Strangers: Chapter 3, and John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness. Haunted farmland and home invasion lead into cosmic horror where fiction reshapes reality. Birthdays celebrate George A. Romero, Alice Cooper, and Josh Stewart. Valentine supplies the slasher recommendation, with Heart Eyes as a companion pick. Find a film that makes the screen, the family home, or the next face feel unsafe.
